The bridesmaid’s role dates back to the times of Pagan during those times when people believed the weddings were attended by the evil spirits. It was the idea to confuse the evil spirits that they had people dressed like the bride surrounding the bride which gave birth to the idea of bridesmaids.
Blondes, redheads, brunettes and anyone can be a bridesmaid and the task set before the bride and the main bridesmaid is to choose a color which would suit them all and it is not easy. However we can try and get a shade which would go with everyone and also not have identical robes but robes of same color would help. Some tips below to guide you:
Dresses in Red
You can choose geranium red for blondes, scarlet red or true red for brunettes and orange red for the redheads.
Bridesmaid dress in yellow
For Scandinavian blondes, you can use primrose yellow and you can use that for the brunettes too. For redheads, try the daffodil yellow which looks awesome on them.
Dresses in the color of pink
The brunettes and blondes look good in blush pink color. Redheads would look good in coral pink.
Dresses in green
Mint green would suit blondes, emerald green would look good on brunettes and for redheads choose turquoise or lime green.
Orange colored dresses
Blondes may not look too good in this color. A pumpkin orange might get along with a brunette if they have skin tone based on yellow. But for redheads, it could be amber or tangerine orange or terracotta orange and all these would look good on them.
Dresses in purple
This color is universal and would suit anyone. However the blondes might look a little flattering in periwinkle. Damson and Royal purple would make the brunettes beautiful and so is ordinary purple for redheads.
Dresses in blue
Blondes look great in sky blue while redheads would look flattering in aqua blue. You can try cornflower blue on brunettes.
While the color of the dresses is important, more important is how your bridesmaids feel in their respective dresses.
